Kids' Dream Kitchen

Y_KidsDreamKitchen

Salons are associated with great cities. Paris, for instance. And Toronto - in the case of the Bunch Family Salon.

Yorkville Design Centre was a sponsor of the Bunch Family Salon, the annual kids' ideas and arts symposium hosted by the Ontario College of Art and Design on March 29, 2009.

At the salon, architects mentored the kids who assembled: they talked to the kids to solicit their ideas about cities, then helped them to construct one out of recycled materials. Attendees were regaled by roaming performers, including indie artists and opera singers. Guerilla green missions, public art and urban planning games were other activities for the kids aged two to twelve.

Yorkville Design Centre also sponsored the raffle of a kids' dream kitchen manufactured by Natural Pod of Vancouver Island. Nathaniel Cooper, Toronto, is the winner of the kitchen.
